As part of the support offered to students and PhD students with disabilities, the university provides access to a teaching assistant free of charge.
The scope of support provided by the teaching assistant includes:
- assistance with note-taking (where justified);
- assistance with communication during classes and consultations with lecturers and the supervisor, and when completing formalities at the Student Services Office, the Rector’s Office and the Library;
- providing ad hoc assistance with tasks which a student or PhD student with a disability is unable to perform independently during classes as part of their studies at the UV;
- other types of support necessary for the student to function independently in academic life, which covers activities related exclusively to the teaching process.
- Teaching assistants may also attend classes held online.
To apply for the support of a teaching assistant, you must:
- Complete the application form for an adaptation card, indicating that you require the support of a teaching assistant (if this adaptation has not previously been granted);
- Complete the application for a teaching assistant, including the information clause and consent to the processing of personal data;
- Submit the documents together with a current disability certificate:
- in person to the Office for People with Disabilities (2nd floor, room 233);
- send scans (PDF) by email to: bon@vizja.pl;
- send by post to the university’s address: VIZJA University, Okopowa 59 Street, 01-043 Warsaw (marked ‘BON’).
